SriLankan Airlines Cargo to double capacity with new terminal by end-2025
Aug 26 (FT) Positioning Colombo as a regional hub for transhipment and e-commerce, SriLankan Airlines is set to double its handling capacity with a new cargo terminal at the Bandaranaike Int'l Airport (BIA) by the end of 2025. Moves to prevent misuse in driving license medical certificates: Deputy Minister
Aug 26 (DM) Measures are being taken to reduce irregularities reported in the issuing of printed medical certificates by the National Transport Medical Institute (NTMI), Nugegoda, for obtaining driving licenses, Deputy Minister Janitha Kodituwakku said. Health and Mass Media Ministry earns Rs 120 Million from vehicle auction
Aug 26 (CT) Ministry of Health and Mass Media yesterday announced that 60 unserviceable vehicles belonging to the ministry were sold at a public auction, generating Rs 120,877,000 in revenue for the government. According to a senior ministry spokesman, 53 vehicles were auctioned as ordinary vehicles and seven as unserviceable vehicles, with the registrations of the latter cancelled beforehand. The fleet included motor cars, three-wheelers, and motorcycles deemed unfit for service.

CPC, PSTL boost bunkering capacity at Colombo Port
